Pullman Instruments
North West was formally Calibration UK Ltd which was founded in 1991 by Doug and Margaret Earl, Doug had an extensive metrological back ground which they utilised through the years to grow the business and offer calibration, repair, service, sales and hire of instrumentation to customers in and around the North West of England. During this time Calibration UK Ltd became a fully UKAS accredited dimensional laboratory with dedicated staff who shared Doug and Margaret’s vision for delivering precision in measurement.
In 2016 after 25 years in business Calibration UK Ltd joined the Everett Smith Group, with group CEO Nathan Smith at the helm Joining 3 sister companies, Pullman Instruments (UK) Ltd, Climatic Services Ltd
and Flow-Mon Ltd. This provides a core skill base of dimensional test and measurement to both traceable and UKAS standards allowing the group access to a market environment they were previously inactive in.
Now as a part Pullman Instruments we have extended the office space and created a new larger laboratory giving Pullman Instruments North West a greater capacity to offer its clients more services, which as well as our primary discipline in dimensional calibration we now offer further electrical, temperature, pressure and torque calibration, testing and certification.

What is Dimensional Calibration?
Dimensional Calibration is testing the performance output of measuring instruments against a measurement standard to certify that the item produces results which meet or exceed the specific criteria of that standard. The details of these findings are logged and the results are prepared on a calibration certificate. During the calibration process minor adjustments may be made if appropriate and advice offered on repairs or replacement.
We calibrate:
- Digital Calipers
