The Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge is designed for measuring the thickness of coatings on metals. This combination instrument is equipped with two modes that facilitate the measurement of different material combinations:
F mode: measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metals
N mode: measure the thickness of insulating coatings on non-magnetic metals
This instrument is a dual scale instrument with maximum measurement ranges of 100µm and 1250µm. Readings can also be displayed in mil.
In addition to viewing the measurement result via the backlit, LCD display, the user may also view the maximum value, the minimum value and the average value; thereby providing the user with all the necessary information simultaneously. Data can be saved to the Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge’s internal memory; it has the capacity to store up to ninety-nine values.
Further to this, it is possible to export data using the supplied RS-232 data interface. The Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge is also supplied with a robust carrying case, ensuring that it can be safely transported between rugged worksites, as well as a base plate and calibration foils. These accessories can be used to maintain the Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge’s accuracy.
The accuracy of the Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge can be improved to approximately 1% of the measured value using the Focus function. This function allows the user to adjust the gauge precisely on the locally measured range by a two-point calibration.
In addition to the Focus function, the Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge also includes a Zeroing function and a Scan function. The latter feature can be used to perform continuous measuring or single point measuring, allowing the user to tailor the gauge to his/her application.
The Sauter TF 1250.01FN Digital Coating Thickness Gauge is versatile, adaptable and easy-to-use. It is ideal for measuring the thickness of paint and lacquer coatings.
