Pullman Instruments - Specialists in Calibration and Measurement

Product Testing Services

Product Testing Services

At Pullman Instruments we provide an array of Product Testing Services, wherever you are in the UK.

Our excellent reputation in Product Testing is proven over decades of dedicated customer care and attention.

We pride ourselves on high quality testing, repair and calibration services and you can rely on us for all your product testing needs. Our dedicated team of engineers have a combined experience of 40 years in calibrating, servicing and repairing all makes and models of product testers and accompanying equipment, giving you the assurance that we can meet and exceed your expectations.

Among the product testing services, we provide;

Testing determines how components, subsystems and complete systems behave in severe environments that involve elevated temperatures and high or fluctuating relative humidity. The tests can be static with constant temperature and humidity, they involve their cycling or temperature-humidity bias tests (where moisture is used, inducing failure in electrical devices) or in a combination of each. This is useful for testing products used in different countries to where manufacture, or for the evaluation of product deterioration in certain environments.
-70°C – 180°C temperature 5-95% Rh humidity.

The ability to withstand sudden changes in temperature is a key attribute for products and components subject to harsh environmental conditions or used in other rugged applications. Test items undergo air-to-air thermal shock testing where the test product moves from one extreme atmospheric temperature to another via mechanical means. We have vertical two-zone thermal shock chambers, where an elevator moves small to medium sized parts quickly from one extreme to the other. These enclosed thermal shock test chambers avoid unintended exposure to ambient temperature and help prevent the hazards of handling. Therefore subjecting the test pieces to instantaneous extreme temperatures.
-70 to 170°C.

This test cycles through temperature extremes, typically at high rates of change, enabling an environmental stress test to evaluate product reliability in manufacturing processes to catch latent defects early by inducing failure through thermal fatigue. Pullman Instruments have a number of chambers available within our group that offer a variety of different size work spaces, ramp rates and control ranges.
-70°C – 180°C temperature range.

Sometimes this test is referred to as salt mist or fog test. A salt spray test is a corrosion testing method that uses high-saline environments at a controlled temperature to measure the corrosion resistance of products, paints and coatings over extended periods.

A salt spray test is conducted in a closed chamber that can be adjusted to create a variety of corrosive environments. During testing, samples are subjected to a specified salt concentration for a pre-determined amount of time, based on specification, product type, or industry standards.
